I am currently a research technician and lab manager with the Dolezal lab at University of Illinois.
I successfully defended my masters in entomology at Penn state in March 2023 and graduated in May 2023. I conducted research on Bumble bee health across Pennsylvania and North Carolina. I was advised by Dr. Heather Hines and Dr. Christina Grozinger. I graduated from Colorado State University with a major in conservation biology and a minor in entomology. I worked for the CSU Listening Lab on a project for Yellowstone National Park doing science communication and acoustic ecology research. I am interested in using monitoring techniques, like acoustics, to study ecosystems and specifically the relationships between insects, people, and surrounding systems.
